It has been crazy, crazy times the last couple of years in the real estate and mortgage industry. And certainly, those of us lucky enough to live on the Emerald Coast are not the only ones dealing with this craziness. The seemingly endless flow of national media “doom & gloom” certainly hasn’t helped. This all shall pass. The reporters make these profound statements about “the national market” and yet we all know that real estate is location, location, location and timing. The reason people own here hasn’t changed. The beaches are more beautiful than ever, the weather’s perfect and the southern hospitality can’t be beat! Those that are buying now will be looking back in 4-5 years on the smart decision they made.

All of the market unknowns can certainly test your nerves when you’re an absentee owner who is trying to stay current to what’s happening near your vacation home.
